Day in and day out, we are reminded how difficult life can be. How much need and suffering there is. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and become numb or apathetic.
Each day, we make a choice. What attitude will we approach the next challenge with? Will we see how little we measure up? How it’s never enough? Or will we choose to believe, that even though we can’t be all things for all people. We can be something for someone. A smile, returning someone else grocery cart, a complement, holding a door, and any numerous things from offering a blanket to someone in need, to donating time or money.
To look around at life and not focus on what we don’t have ‘enough’ of, but what we do have. Maybe food, maybe a roof, maybe clothing, or just the breath in our lungs.
It is a battle; a fight. A war to minimize the lack, and bad. To maximize the good, the joy. To have gratitude. No matter what place in life, how hard, or the pain inside and out. This day is a reminder, that this is our chance! The opportunity to say two very powerful yet simple words.
Ones that aren’t sincerely get said enough. So let’s all stop and really ponder the good things, the hope, remember to spread around the magical and life changing phrase.
Together we can change our world and others. Giving a new focus, and take the time to share love. With these two simple words; Thank you.
Let me go first, “Thank you everyone, for being a wonderful and unique light in this world. You are amazing, beautiful and cherished!”
