A long night…
This is Gotham, My town… I fight alongside the World’s Greatest Detective, and no I don’t mean Sherlock Holmes. I’m talking about The Batman! The Dark Knight… the… ah you get the idea. Tonight we’re going out on another adventure, I couldn’t believe it, Batman chose me to take on the mantel after the previous Robin left. Now the number two boy wonder will be number one! They won’t even remember him! I’ll show everyone what I’m capable of...
“Jason! Get down here or I’m leaving you,” Batman’s voice sounded from below.
“Be right there!” Jason quickly scribbled.
Month number three of my adventure, it’s only going to get better from here!!!
He secured the journal and raced down stairs. He made his quick change and arrived seeing Batman and Alfred talking. Catwoman’s File framed on the Batcomputer screen. “So she’s who we’re going after?” He stared at the picture. “She’s a super criminal?” Confusion laced his words.
“She is more dangerous than she looks and you’d do well to assume all of them are. Let’s go!” Batman turned toward the Batmobile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a silent drive until they arrived at the spot. Jason aka Robin knew what was next. A stakeout. They sat outside the building that Batman said she’d be robbing. Apparently the owner had purchased a one of a kind jade cat and installed one of the best security systems to protect it.
Batman knew Catwoman wouldn’t be able to resist the challenge and the feline esque statue was an irresistible target. They heard the crash as she leapt out, bullets firing from the window. The cat burglar nimbly landed and without slowing sped along the rooftops.
Batman and Robin leapt from the car and using their grapples made pursuit.
Robin ran ahead to cut her off.
“Rob-“ Batman’s voice was cut off by the gunfire from the hired security.
The sound of his tumble and hiss of the smoke pellets going off faded as the distance between the two increased.
“I won’t lose her.” Robin shouted, knowing that Batman would have his hands full. He leapt toward Catwoman’s back, but she simply side stepped him. The minx was pretty agile, but he could dance too. He held his ground and then thought he saw an opening. He went for a flying kick.
Catwoman simply ducked and using her whip to wrap around his waist and slung him from the roof into an alley.
Batman leapt over the gap, either not seeing what happened to Jason or not caring. Fast on Catwoman’s heels.
Robin had tried to break his fall pulling his grapple out, it launched and caught a fire escape, but the bar on the fire escape snapped when his weight hit. He was sent swinging out of control. The boy wonder crashed hard through a window and several other unknown items upon his entry. Robin groaned as he landed hard. He felt glass embedded in his side and grimaced. “This is going to be a long night…”
